Experience the salt spray and the rush of your boat through the waves while meeting people from across the industry in an exciting event that actually makes a difference – it will raise money to build homes for homeless young people. 

Here is everything you need to know.

 

How to enter 

1. Register online. Click here.

2. Register early to secure your participation as there is a restriction with the number of yachts permitted in the Regatta and guest numbers permitted at MHYC for the Regatta Soiree. 

3. The yacht owner must complete the Yacht Owner Entry Form

4. Ensure all information on the forms is correct. If you wish to make any changes after lodgements please notify the Foundation office.

0800 - 0900  Early Bird Registration - MHYC 
1030 - 1200  Official Registration 
- Middle Harbour Yacht Club (MHYC) or 
- Cruising Yacht Club of Australia (CYCA) 
1100 - 1230 Meet your clients and skipper and crew 
- Enjoy your lunch on board 
1250  Ten minute warning gun
1300 Starting gun - 'Fleet Start' 
1600 - 1800  Latest finish 
1600 Regatta Soiree commences
1800  Trophies presentation

Further information 

  • The Bob Ell Regatta Cup will be awarded to the overall winner. 
  • Trophies will be awarded to First, Second and Third across the line in each division. 
  • The Division 1 winner will be awarded The Shemara Cup (in memory of Vince Frost, co-founder of the PIF Regatta with co-founder mate John Austin). 
  • If you are sailing a donated boat 

              - this means you are not paying a charter fee; the yacht owner is kindly helping you to reduce your costs. 

               - please express your appreciation by thanking the skipper and crew; and providing them with lunch on board. 

  • A skipper and an experienced crew will be supplied on chartered yachts. 
  • Ensure you make contact with your Skipper well in advance of the day to ensure both parties understand each other's expectations. 
  • Wear shoes with non-marking soles suitable for sailing. 
  • List of yacht charter companies.
